About the destination: Lima is the capital of Peru and its largest city. Most people just use Lima as a gate to Cuzco, Arequipa or Amazonas, but Lima, dubbed the City of the Kings, has lots to offer visitor. It is a city with many interesting historical sites, monumental colonial architecture and old world charm.Plaza Mayor or Plaza de Armas is in the heart of the Historic Centre of Lima. It is surrounded by some of the mayor tourist attractions in Lima, the Cathedral, the Archbishop Palace and the Government Palace. In the middle of the square there is a fountain with a bronze statue. Jirón de la Unión is the pedestrian street that connects the Plaza de Armas and the Plaza San Martín. It used to be a very important street where Aristocrats live, nowadays it's mainly a shopping street, but you can find many lovely colonial buildings with wooden balconies and grilled ornate windows while you walk along. Lima is a city tied to the ocean. The Costera promenade runs along its coast and is home to numerous restaurants and cafes. Lima is also the best place to try the wonderful Peruvian cuisine, which has a huge variety of ingredients from coast, mountain and Amazon regions.Lima is big and chaotic, but with its beautiful sights, great food and cool people it is well worth a visit.

About the destination: Trujillo is a large metropolis in the northern coast of Peru. Trujillo is a friendly, colonial city and one of the main economic and cultural centres of northern Peru. Very near the city you will find numerous and wonderful archaeological monuments of the Mochica and Chimú cultures, outstanding Chan Chan's citadel, declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Trujillo is a city of rich colonial architecture and many archaeological and historical sites and museums. The Plaza de Armas, the city’s main square, in Trullijo is one of the biggest in Peru. Nearby Plaza de Armas, you’ll find Trujillo’s beautiful cathedral. Beaches near Trujillo, such as Huanchaco, are ideal, not just because of the superb local seafood or the cool sea breeze, but also for the great offer of adventure sports and local flair. Huanchaco is a picturesque fishing cove where one can find the ancient craft that appeared on Mochica pottery and friezes at Chan Chan.Trujillo gets usually overlooked in favour of other places in Peru. But Trujillo does have a fair bit going for it, a number of nearby ruins, a cosmopolitan yet manageable feel to the city, and easy access to nearby beaches and ruins. It makes for a nice diversion and in some ways more genuine Peru experience.

About the destination: Paracas is the capital of the Paracas District in the Ica Region in Peru. A small port town catering to tourism, Paracas serves as the jumping point for tours to Islas Ballestas and to Paracas National Reservation. The beautiful Paracas Bay protected by Paracas Peninsula gives these shallow, warmer waters break from ocean waves permitting life to flourish, particularly near its south western edge encompassed within Paracas National Reserve. The Paracas Museum, also found just near the south western edge of Paracas Bay, provides excellent information about Paracas culture and the many unique species, in particular, the birds of Paracas. Paracas lies in a very windy area whose very strong air currents carry sand from which Paracas takes its name.

About the destination: Lima is the capital of Peru and its largest city. Most people just use Lima as a gate to Cuzco, Arequipa or Amazonas, but Lima, dubbed the City of the Kings, has lots to offer visitor. It is a city with many interesting historical sites, monumental colonial architecture and old world charm.Plaza Mayor or Plaza de Armas is in the heart of the Historic Centre of Lima. It is surrounded by some of the mayor tourist attractions in Lima, the Cathedral, the Archbishop Palace and the Government Palace. In the middle of the square there is a fountain with a bronze statue. Jirón de la Unión is the pedestrian street that connects the Plaza de Armas and the Plaza San Martín. It used to be a very important street where Aristocrats live, nowadays it's mainly a shopping street, but you can find many lovely colonial buildings with wooden balconies and grilled ornate windows while you walk along. Lima is a city tied to the ocean. The Costera promenade runs along its coast and is home to numerous restaurants and cafes. Lima is also the best place to try the wonderful Peruvian cuisine, which has a huge variety of ingredients from coast, mountain and Amazon regions.Lima is big and chaotic, but with its beautiful sights, great food and cool people it is well worth a visit.
