The small fortress of Hammamet is situated on the sea-shore, offering magnificent view to the old core of the town and the huge bay in front of it. This is where the Medina of Hammamet is situated. The medina is packed with historical sites and it is a pleasant and interesting place to explore. The doors of Hammamet, as in the rest of Tunisia, are very picturesque and unusual.
